Used on cylinders stamped with the numbers 8962, 8962/1, 8988 and 8989.
Recommend parts are fitted as a pair.
From approx. 2010 cylinder pistons were redesigned to incorporate a read threaded locking section, negating the requirement for the lock nut. This also enabled the piston to be longer, allowing for more sealing rings to be added without sacrificing stroke. New pistons can be used on the older cylinders however please be mindful of the inner cylinder wear. If corroded or obvious signs of wear the whole cylinder should be replaced.
