This ‘bearing’ is actually a heavy duty cam-follower capable of many times a standard bearing load. This cam-follower should be installed in the last roller-hole of the main platform assembly, enabling the Platform Extension to be extended and retracted with minimal effort.  This area of the Platform should be regularly cleaned and ACF-50 or Silicone spray applied (not grease).  If the cam-followers are excessively corroded they should be changed (in pairs) immediately.
