It is important that the ‘Arm Bearings’ are checked and serviced regularly, when working correctly they serve to ensure lift stowing-level is maintained and they greatly reduce pressure off the in/out motor, thereby extending motor lift.
The bearing is a modified roller bearing with a pressed insert centre. These bearing should always turn freely and land correctly on box side track. On heavier lifts the bearing can be upgraded to a glass-reinforced plastic wheel. The plastic wheel reduces wear on the box side track. The plastic wheel can be used on the smaller ‘access’ lifts however on the heavier GNX & Mega lifts the plastic wheels ONLY should be used.
